Is there a way to connect a BeoGram 6500 directly to a B&O multiroom wireless network and without the BeoMaster 6500?

Hello!

I am trying to do something that seems impossible... I would like to connect a BeoGram 6500 & a BeoGram CD 6500 to my multiroom wireless network (+/- 6 pair of speakers). I bought a second-hand NL/ML converter and do not want to use the BeoMaster 6500, but connect straight away the Beogram's on the network. Is there a way to do it? Which type of cables and extra converters are necessary to do so? I am a bit loss...

The reason I want to by-pass the BeoMaster unit is that it is particularly heavy and I can not transport it easily (need to tak e a flight, etc.). Also, it is useless as all speakers are active and I don't listen to radios.

I would like to control the BeoGram's with the B&O mobile app.

Thanks,

Emmanuel

Hello Emmanuel,

Thanks for your enquiry

Please can you let me know which other wireless B&O products you have in the house, especially noting which ones will be in the same room as the Beogram 6500?  I can then help you to get these working together.

Kind regards, Steve.

Thanks Steve for your quick reply. In the same room as the Beogram CD/Phono, I will have a have Beolab 3 connected to a B&O Essence. In other rooms I have Multiroom Speakers (e.g. Beoplay M5, Beoplay A6 & Beolab 2 mainly). Hope it helps. Emmanuel

Hi Emmanuel,

Thanks for your reply.  playing the Beogram to any room wirelessly can be as simple as plugging it into the Line In sockets of the Essence via this cable:-

Hi Emmanuel,

That is possible, but more complex.  You will need the Beomaster 6500, an ML/MCL converter and an ML/NL converter.

The other option is to use a Beosound Ouverture to connect the Beogram to, then you just need the ML/NL converter.

Please let me know if you need any help with cables for either of these options.

Kind regards, Steve.
