I am told by B&O that replacement lasers for mk1's are can longer available and therefore it's not repairable

I cant believe my 9000 is now scrap.

Does anyone know a way around this?

Really?  I'd not heard that.

Well - you could always pop a Mk3 laser in there - and the Mk3 PCB's etc?

It would be madness to scrap it....

HY there replaced the laser on my 1994 beocenter 9300, just because b and don't supply it does not mean the parts are not.

i found the riginal Phillips and swapped it over.

if needed I can put you in touch with a guy that did mine, he is a long time enthusiast and more than capable

I recently replaced a laser in my mkI.

Ordered a CDM12.6 with mechanism but without the pcb's on Ebay. But there is a small difference.

B&O uses a small grounded metal plate to obtain the smallest aperture for the laser. Built in laser mechanisms don't need that kind of shield as the mechanism can't be seen from the outside. The mechanism from the BS9000 can be seen.

It works fine for now, and the second one I ordered will be placed in the original mechanism.

Be warned that not every seller sells new lasers as they stated. Mine works fine and was sold as "new". But looking at the terminals I am convinced the're not.

Same boat, any solution yet for the 9000 mk1 laser replacement?
