I bought a Beogram 1000 turntable which would not power on as a replacement turntable for my Beomaster 900 HiFi which was missing its turntable.
I took it to be repaired and was informed that the motor is not working and needs to be replaced. Does anyone know what motor that unit had or other motor that was compatible so that I can hopefully get the turntable working? Thanks in advance.
Beogram 1000 was produced with several types of motors. All of these motors rarely go defect - as in broken. They all seize up in dry lubricants and/or run out of lubricants, starts slow or not at all, and will need servicing, including infusion of fresh oil to the pores in the bearing material (sinter bronze). Not a task for everyone and surely not something every repairshop would take on, but absolutely doable for an experienced DIY'er.Any replacement motor not already serviced will have the same need.

Thank you Martin,
Do you know of any technicians in Canada that would perform that work?
