Sorry I fist made this post in General forum when I found this Vintages that fits better to the product I have :)

Hello Beoworld,
So I just bought a pair of Beolab 4500,Blue. I would like to shine them up a bit, so looking for some advice.
The plastic / acrylic covers for the display have some circular scratches from wiping them off through time, I guess and then a pair of more 'deeper' scratches that you can just fell with a nail over. NOthing big but they are there.
I would like to make them as 'new' again. I saw this article where he use Micro-Mesh KR-70 polishing set, very nice job.
I can try this ofcoruse but is it possible to buy 2 new plastic / acrylic covers, I dont know is that possible somewhere ? I havent found them as new on Google.
How about the Blue square newt to the acrylic display covers, how can I clean / repair that one for a few scratches ?
Any good advise idea how to polish / shine up the Chrome panel ? Nothing wrong with it just want to 'shine it up' a bit :-) Can I use window cleaning product on it or shoudl I just use warm water or something else ?
And then How to take the acrylic display covers of ? something to be aware of ?
Thank you for now
BR
Anders
hey
Anyone who have tried to frech up a pair of Beolab 4500 ?
Thanks
Window cleaning cream will be OK to clean the stainless panels but don't try to shine them as they are not meant to be highly polished. Take care around the Bang & Olufsen logo as it is a transfer and will get washed off if you make them too wet!
Most of the dark plastic windows will be falling off by now. Micro Mesh will be fine but time consuming. Use Superglue to stick them back on. New ones are no longer available but a former forum member called Leslie Nelwan did have some replacements made but I'm not sure of his current status.
The blue square is anodised and is virtually impossible to clean/polish back to the original finish. In my experience, any action that you carry out will make them worse.

Hey,
Thank you very much :-)
Ok I will try, I also read that 50/50 water and vinegar could clean alu-stainless panels, have you tried this ? If I try it cant hurt I guess ? But maybe I should just use the Window cleaning cream.
I will give it a go with Micro Mesh for the display covers and I then do not touch the blue square :)
Thanks again
