Hi all,

I have a lovely Beocenter 3500 that I mainly use for vinyl and to listen to my Pioneer Network Player (I know!). The FM tuning slider has stopped working - it felt like maybe a rubber belt or something snapped when it happened. The presets are still OK. I would like to fix it if at all possible.

Does anyone have any experience of this kind of problem? Even just some advice about getting inside would be very welcome!

Thanks very much

My guess:
The dial string came off the tuning slider. If so, just glue it back on.

Thanks Martin. Hope so. Is it easy to get inside? I guess if it was the BeoMaster 3000 you’d just take the top off but not sure with having the turntable grafted onto the top!

Two screws at the back, one DIN plug and the whole turntable section lifts up.
Then two leads for the turntable motor in a screw-mount and the whole top section can be set aside.

Thanks very much Martin. That’s really helpful. I’ll give it a go.

Your diagnosis was correct. I reattached the slider to the wire with a cable tie.
