Good evenind,

That looks like a failing amplifier board on the speaker.

See https://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/t/37951.aspx

The solution is either to find and replace the defective MOSFET transistor (a DIY repair)  or to replace the board. B&O still has them in stock.

Regards,

Jean

If you only chage only MOSFET you did not repair it or maybe yes in 10% ..for short time.

A faulty MOSFET is just the result of some  XY error on the amplifier pcb.

Strange sound can also be caused by a malfunction on the other PCB of the speaker.

Morning all,

The static/ crackling is coming from the tweeter , I have disconnected it and crackling stops.....is this still a fault with the board or just a replacement tweeter required...your thoughts would be appreciated

Tweeter is OK.

Problem is on power amp. PCB or crosower PCB.

Where are you from ?

You can repair it or buy new power amp board.
