I tried to connect my iphone through a 7 pin lead via the aux lead but there is no sound. Can someone please advise what I am doing wrong?
I dont want to purchase a bluetooth device if the aux doesnt seem to be working via the wired option.
Hi and welcome to Beoworld!
Are you sure that the lead was plugged into the AUX socket, and not one of the Powerlink sockets?
Also, some 7 pin DIN to say twin RCA/Phono cables are wired for input, and some are wired for output, so you may need to check you have the correct type.
Yes confirmed.
Any idea how to check?
Yes 100%
I followed the diagram on the instruction manual
Maybe try another lead, perhaps this one: https://soundsheavenly.com/bang-olufsen/67-298-minijack-to-aux-in-ipod-to-beosound-beomaster-beocenter-using-aux-din-socket.html#/2-length-1m
How are you selecting AUX on the Beosound? You should be selecting A.AUX (using Beo4) or SHIFT RADIO (using BL1000). Or use the keypad AUX button.
Does AUX appear on the Beosound's display?
Lastly, are you sure that the volume is increased on the iPhone?
