I picked up a pair of Beovox S75's at a thrift shop today, for $150. They were perfect visually, but sound a little "off" once in my living room. In addition, one of the tweeters is not working at all. A quick glance through this forum indicates that I either need new capacitors and resistors in the crossovers, and/or a new tweeter - most likely a Peerless KO10DT 4 Ohm.
Most of these repairs have been discussed in detail in other threads, but I'm just curious if the folks here think it's worthwhile to repair them. The shop would take them back, but they'd undoubtedly end up in a landfill, and I'd prefer to keep them going. That said, if I'm going to sink days of work and hundreds of dollars into them, a newer pair might be the more responsible choice.
Thank you!
