The penta are actually version 2 - not 1.
hi
I really dont know but maybe https://soundsheavenly.com/ can help out ?
I'm using a setup that sounds similar. I have a pair of BL8000s that are hooked up to a TIBO streaming box that I got from Steve at Sounds Heavenly. So the whole system is the little streamer box and two speakers. I'm sure you could get appropriate cabling from Steve to hook it to the Pentas.
Jeff
I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus.
Hi,
This is the streamer that Jeff mentioned: https://soundsheavenly.com/bang-olufsen/179-wireless-music-streamer-for-beolab-speakers-and-beosound-music-systems.html
This plugs directly into your Penta 2 speakers via a normal 8 pin Powerlink cable: https://soundsheavenly.com/powerlink-8-pin-din-connection/23-314-powerlink-mk-2-compatible-black-8-pin-din-cable-with-fully-wired-8-cores.html#/4-length-3m
Kind regards, Steve.
Steve.

Still quite enjoying the little TIBO box Steve. Amazing to find a third party device like this that actually has a Powerlink output. I've tried both BT and wifi streaming and it just works. Turns the speakers on a couple of sec after I start a stream to them, turns them off a couple of min after I stop. Simple, no muss, no fuss.
Nice to find a product that just works without hair pulling.
Hi Steve
This TIBO streaming box. I have the Chromecast audio. Will I be able to cast music from Youtibe / YT music app and the other apps that where I use the Chromecast icon ?
So really no need for Chromecast audio if I have this TIBO streaming box ?
Can I connect it to AUX in my Beosound 9000 or should I connect them direct to the Beolab 4500 that I have ?
Thanks
Anders Sorensen, France
PS: I have set my beolab 4500 and BS 9000 up woth your cables , sound very googd. I have returned the extra parcel that I got , the one from France you know , I hope you get it soon )
Hi Anders,
Yes, this device can replace the Chromecast to stream for any app where you currently use the Chromecast, via bluetooth, plus it will stream via wi-fi using supported apps such as Spotify.
If you have the Beosound 9000 connected then please link the streamer to this, otherwise it can work directly to the speakers in a room where you don't have a Beosound.
I will let you know by email as soon as the parcel arrives, thanks for returning this
Great discussions. Thanks everyone.
steve from sound heavenly also suggested in PM a cable to link the bluesound to the penta.
So I now have 2 choices the little streamer from Steve or the bluesound node 2i, which is more expensive. Any insight on the potential sound quality for both?

So, I decided to go with the node 2i.
main reason is Qobuz integration, and full WiFi connect of the streamer.
hope it will work !will report back after christmas
Hi, How do you connect the Tibo Bond2 to a pair of beolabs, with only one 8-pin output ?
Please use one Powerlink mk.2 cable from the Tibo to the first speaker, then another cable between the two speakers:-

Thanks for the info, I did not know that it was possible to chain- connect the beolab, what are the advantages of such connection compared to classic linking them both to the receiver ?

One of the advantages is fewer wires. The Powerlink cable carries both left and right signals and Beolab Pentas have a switch to make it a left or right speaker.

Steve, here's an oddball question that just occurred to me: does there exist a product which will do this *without* any cabling between the speakers? What I'm imagining is a pair of Bluetooth receivers which (internally) are a 'master and slave' pair. So you attach one to the left speaker and one to the right speaker, but your Bluetooth source sees only one device; it transmits a stereo signal to the 'Master' receiver on (say) the left speaker - which then plays the left channel on its own speaker and wirelessly transmits the right channel to the 'slave' Bluetooth receiver on the right speaker. The object is to allow my Pentas (or indeed any other speaker) to be used in a room where decor or structure and practicality make it tricky to route wires gracefully from one receiver to both speakers. Does anyone make such a product? Thanks!
Hi fireman,
Sorry but I am not aware of any easy way to do this.
