Configuration of NL/ML converter with Beovision Eclipse

Hi All, I have the following setup:

 

• Bevision Eclipse 65”

• Beosound 5

• Beolab 5 (directly attached to Beosound 5)

• Beolab 8002 controlled by Beolink active

• Beolab 3 controlled by Beolink active

• Beolab 3500

• MLGW

I recently purchased the Beovision Eclipse 65” (before I had Beovision 7) To connect all my products I also purchased the NL/ML converter (second hand). I have used a lot time to configure the NL/ML converter, however I have still not succeeded in having the sound from the Beovision Eclipse coming out of the other speakers in my setup. The converter is setup in V-master mode. I tried changing options on the Beosound 5. Im able to turn on any other speaker, connected to a TV source, however no sound is coming.

What am I missing here?

Eclipse cannot send the TV sound to Masterlink. Only the other way round.

I can send music from my Eclipse to my NL/ML converter and linked BS3000 to play the music. Also can play music from my BS3000 to the Eclipse.

NL/ML Converter:

What about the TV sound ? Can you send that to your NL/ML and distribute it on your other speakers?

I need to check but as I recall the sound of tv was another source I could select in the setup menu for the NL/ML.

I checked and can select Live Tv as source and play sound from the TV show to my NL/ML and connected BS3000. I selected the TV source as shown in the picture. Note I can only play 2 sources to my BS3000, not sure if I’m missing something but never found out how to add more sources. So I selected one source with the Eclipse Live TV (or any other source I can select in the drop down menu) and it works.

I can select Live TV, Youtube, etc. I made the same setup as you have, even trying selecting one source only ( live TV)  the converter allows me to turn on the beolab 5's which are connected directly to my Beosund 5 -However no sounds is coming !!

Im confused, and start to think that something setup wise on Beosound 5 needs to be done, since you can have  TV sound from your Eclipse distributed through a NL/ML Converter ? 

Could you send me the screen shoots of your complete configuration, to be sure the converter is configured right ? 

In my earlier post I added picture of main setup page and the ML sources. I’m not experienced with ML but I can only select two sources on my BS3000 which play content. Maybe you can try different sources on the BS5 and fiddle a bit with the IR mapping.

If you want to check the converter first, you can connect speakers directly to the converter, I believe you need a IR controller also, so maybe not that easy.
