Hi chaps, i recently picked up a cheap 8-32 as a temporary replacement for my beoplay v1 which went kaput, much to my upset.

after battling for days i finally managed to pick up digital tv signals, but im having no luck getting the tv to “see” the xbox which is plugged in through the hdmi socket.

ive got the connections page up on the tv, set it to dvd and turned hdmi to on on each of the 4 av options, but nothing happens. Ive gone through various alternatives such as pc but still nothing. Ive even tried adding “game” to the list of options on the beo4 remote, and nothing there either.

the frustrating thing is if i had gone to my local supernarket and bought a sony or panasonic it would have been working in seconds.

can anyone make any suggestions before i give up on this and send another tv to the tip?

thanks si

Faulty HDMI input or TV cannot display the resolution of the XBox?

Can you adjust output on the XBox?

Thanks bud!

inconnected the xbox to a different tv and reduced the resolution to 720, but still no luck. All i can see is a black screen, if the hdmi socket is broken how would this look on the screen?
