Hi,

Wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction.  My Beomaster 7000 tuner/amp suddenly stopped working after a power outage.  Conclusion is a power spike fried something.  Checked the 2.5A slow blow fuse and found it was shorted and replaced with a 5 A slow blow as that's all I had.  On power up, the fuse blew again.  My next thought is to replace the relay (Pasi KS/R -1C) as I generally can hear it switch everytime the tuner powers on or off.  I would appreciate if anyone can offer some advice

Thanks

A new rectifier brought my BM7000 back to life; don´t know if your issue is the same.

Check fuses as the first thing.

Thanks for the suggestion.  The main fuse above the transformer is fine, but the 250V 2.5 A slow blow, on what I believe is the power distribution board, was shorted.  I replaced it twice now and it keeps shorting every time I power up the BeoMaster

The fuse shorts?
Are you sure, you get the things and terms right here? - Fuses are supposed to be shorts - until they blow and go open-circuit.
