Hi all

My current setup is a Beoplay V1 and a Beoplay A9.

My problem is that when I press A.mem on my Beo4 to control the volume on the A9 when using Airplay, then the V1 powers on. How to I stop that from happening?

Beovision Eclipse gen2 (GX) w/ floorstand, Beolab 14.2, 4 speaker Shape and ATV4/Chromecast.

Beoplay A9mk4 GVA, Beosound 1 GVA, H2, H3, H8, E6, Beoplay EQ

Hi,

Have you tried setting it in Option 1? St.by and list at the same time -> list until " Option" and then V.Opt and then press 1.

That worked perfectly, but what does option 1 mean?

I can't find any reference to it in either the A9, V1 or Beo4 manuals.

How does this option setting work?

Option 1 means that the device will only react to it's own commands – in other words, a TV will react to video commands and a sound system will only react to audio commands.

You can also choose option 2 (a device will react to both audio and video commands) and option 0 (won't react to IR commands at all).

This is used on link systems, when audio and video system are connected together, and e.g. all your speakers are connected to the TV, or the TV and stereo are in different rooms. Almost all B&O equipment have these options, even though they can't be connected in link systems (Beolit 12, Beoplay V1++)

There are other options as well, but those are used in link-rooms.
