Hi Friends
I am looking to use a Rotel RC-870BX Preamp in between my Rega P2 Turntable and my Beolab 8000s.
Will this configuration work? Can I control the volume on the Beolabs with the preamp volume button?

yes you can, the Rotel has a phono section and the preamp volume control will work with your BL8000s. You will need to make sure that you ground the Rega properly to eliminate hum. You may have to experiment with the AC outlets you plug our BL8000s and the Rega/Rotel into to get rid of any ground loop issues.
Your setup will work but it may take some tinkering to make any noise go away.

Needed no tinkering at all ... Found a mint condition Rotel RC-850. connected it up in between the TT and the speakers and it all works like a dream. Zero hum!
