hey guys off topic but i sure somebody knows, bought my wife a kindle for xmas on reading instruction states charge battery by connection to computer or use  power adaptor sold separately, my question is can i use the power adapter supplied with my ipad ??

Yep, anything with a USB compatible power output. I've used an Apple PSU on holiday with phones and Kindles and it was fine.
