Thanks to Chris H and a few other peeps on here giving guidance on programming a Beo6 i have 90% got where i want to be. However i am struggling to get the Beosound 5 to come out of standby with the N Music command? if i take it out of standby and select N Music it works as it should with theBeo6?
I have set it up in Lounge Zone as an audio master?
I have tried telling the BS5 it has a CD and/or A Mem but those commands won't work either.
Selecting on the Beo6 A Aux works correctly as does the radio (N Radio)?
Selecting CD on Beo4 works correctly as well, it brings the BS5 out of standby and plays the albums.
Any thoughts?
It looks like a setup problem, different commands..
If you have the BS5 set to CD - wich you use on your Beo4 you have to use CD on your Beo6 aswell.
I had my BS5 and Beo4 set to CD, and when I got my Beo6 it was set to a.mem (cd button) I could not swich on but I could change songs and so on.
Set the BS5 and the remotes to same source then it will work perfectly.
Cheers Rikard that was spot on, not too sure how i missed it but i did? thanks working perfectly.
Hi Wogga383.
I am currently thinking about buying a Beo6 for my beosound5.
Do you have any good advice?
Does it work well?
Hey Markfs,
The Beo6 works good, it is as every B&O product a bit slow, and if you have as we do ALOT of music it gets even slower.. How ever you have the oportunity to search albums/ artists with a start of the first letter of the name. On the BS5 you have to scroll the wheel until your hand gets num - if you have alot of music on you BS5.
I dont use mine extremely much, but when I do I enjoy it!
Hi MarkFS as Rikard sys much better for navigating through your music. To be honest I have only had the BS5 a few weeks and using N.Music with a Beo4 was no good.
With Beo6 it is more pleasurable and since it is two way you can view the album covers. I am still learning to queue music though.
I am still looking at sorting my music on the BM5 at the moment , now I know why many peeps are unhappy not being been able to play apple lossless?
I am not a fan of apple but Itunes is the best way to sort music and playlists for the BM5, WMP is a dead loss.
Do you wish that one day Apple and MS will grow up!
That doesn't sound good, that it's slow.
A remote at that price should be fast and fluent....
But as you say, I would like to have the option to search for my music, which is yet not possible on the beosound..
I really hope that they will soon release a better software and some improvements for the BS5...
Wogga,
Glad you nearly got it sorted. Any problems with the tool, give me a shout. I'll try and help.
Beosound 8, Beotime, Beocom 4, Beo 5, Lutron Rania, MacBook 15" (Mid 2015), iPad Pro, iPhone 6S, B&O Play H3, Beolit 12, Form 2, A8 Headphones, B&O Play A1, B&O Essence
If you want to search for music you need the beo6, maybe the Creation5 app works, I have not tried it, since I dont want to use my ipad to control my bs5.
The slow bit on the Beo6 is when it starts, as with all B&O products.. You get used to it :)
I dont think it ever will be possible to search for music on the bs5. I bet B&O have a new machine BS6? That has the advantages we all miss in the BS5, so we all put more money into this :) Not that Im negative, Im just realistic..
:)
So when it is on it's not slow when searching for music or adding songs to the que?
I doubt that they are gonna call it beosound6 ;)
I hope that they will just update the software, because the hardware itself is amazing!
