So you're using Apple Homekit to run an automation including the Tradfri Gateway when BLGW triggers a light to turn on? I wonder if this could be done by pairing a tradfri bulb that I've never used nor paired with the Tradfri Gateway and instead pairing that unused bulb with the Philips Hue bridge. Would the automation still work if I then completely removed the bulb from the lamp so that it never actually turns on?
Yes that is correct.!
It would work if you connected a Trådfri bulb to the hue GW and then did the setup as I did.
Dont know if the automation would work if you removed the bulb again, havent tested that in my case.
