Hi There and a happy new year!
I´ve got a big problem with my new old Beomaster 6000 4 CH.
After a total Recap everything seems to work fine, No signal current and Powersuply is adjusted to it´s desired measurings.
All Pushbuttons work fine I can switch between the sources.
I can listen to:
Radio, OK
Phono 4 ( with Preamp Recordplayer) OK
AUX 2 CH with depressed Switch under the Beomaster OK
At AUX 2 CH I can listen to a Record Player without Preamp.
A normal Tape or MP3 Player would give a lot of Distortion when Level is raised.
So far so good.
But there is no Sound at all at the Tape front and rear Inputs and the AUX 2 Ch with pushed in Switch.
So what has happened?
Maybe there is one of the hardwires come loose or do I make something completely wrong?
Maybe there is no Voltage on the Preamlifier Board?
I hope that there is one or the other who could give me an advice where to search for the Error.
Many thanks and best Regards.
Christian
Dear Friends!
The fact that nowone has a Advice for me, meas that not the right one has read this Thread yet.
I'll don't give up.
Maybe someone could give me Information about the Service Manual to find here on this Site.
I hope that is better readable than many others that occure in the WWW.
Thanks a lot.
Best Regards
Did it work before recap'ing?
Martin
Hi there,
I had the same problem with Aux. Turned out to be a defective Elko. Unfortunately, you have to take almost the whole thing apart to get access. Won‘t be a quick and easy fix, I guess.
Kai
Hi Martin Hi Kai
Thank you for your answers.
To the first Question:
I bought the Beomaster from the Preowner, tested just the Radio, Sound came , no more other Tapes to connect in that Moment.
So don"'t really know if the Tape Inputs worked before.
Second : For me ist seens more a Vorlage related Problem, because the whole Inputs don't Work.
No Answer to my Question about the Service Manual?
Best Regards Christian
The service manual and technical manuals on site were scanned by me from the originals - not perfect but all the pages are there and reasonably legible - the user manual is also there.
Peter
Hi dear Friends
The Problem is solved.
The Manuals from Site helped a lot, thanks Peter!
After checking the ELECTRONIC SWITCH "TAPE" with 8TR 19 to 8TR 22 are OK I
checked the Preamplifier Board PC 6 with 6TR9 to 6TR12 Signal at all Emitters OK I
checked the 2nd Preampilfier Board PC7 with 7TR5 to 7TR8 Signal at all Emitters OK I
checked the MUTING Transistors on Board PC 7 with 7TR9 to 7TR12 no Signal at all Collectors.
Voltage at Muting Line from PC8 - 5 Volt OK, Muting Line from Relay - 18 Volt in STBY OK
I desoldered the Lines frome PC8 and from Relay no sound at all.
I scratched my Head a few times why the Muting Transistors are all pulling the Signal to Ground.
All Bases had a Voltage about 0,68 Volt should be 0 Volt.
I suspected that one of the Transistor were out of Order so
I desoldered first all Baseresistors 7R22, 27, 32 and 37 to look if one of the Transitors is defective.
Switched ON pressed TAPE... and the Winner is.....sound from Speakers back.
I soldered back the Baseresistors one after the other and sound is still to hear from all Channels.
So my conclusion is that a simple Solderbubble somewhere, heaven knows where, has shorten something in the Area of the Muting Transistors.
Selfmade Mistake as it happens sometimes
Forgot to mention that the AUX 2 CH Input works too before my Invetigations in the TAPE Section, that was just a Inputlevel related Problen....
Now it's Time to get to the next BEO Phenomen and listen to some fine Music.
Thank you all for your support.
Congratulations - makes scanning these things worthwhile!!
