Beocenter 9500 comes up muted

Dear all,

for some days now, when I start my Beocenter 9500 via datalink (pressing <Play> at the record player or tape 2) it sometimes comes up muted. When I press <Mute> everything is fine, but this is not intended behaviour, is it? It does not happen when I start the record player or tape 2 (or any other source) via the Beocenter itself.

How can this be? Might a low battery be the reason? The radio frequency adjustment is lost when I pull the plug so that after plugging in again the wrong frequency is shown in the display. That's why I think the battery might be low.
