I should first say that I am in the Algarve in Portugal and B & O dealers are very scarce in Portugal. So my Beosound 5 has just been returned from repair in the UK.

Having pieced all the connections together inside the Beosound and then in turn to the BeoMaster I have hit a few snags. Firstly the BeoMaster shows up as a network device once the Beosound is switched on but does not show as a Network device with a drive letter on This PC.

BeoConnect is running and has found the network IP address of the Beosound 5 and pings a return.

Secondly, on the Beosound display, the left side selector arc is not working, one of the choices is Highlighted but I am unable to change the selection.

The unit has been back to the UK twice now and is a real expensive laborious pain to do so again.

Any advice would be very welcome.

Thank you.

Hi,

I had the same issu a while ago, I unscrewed the back plate behind the foot part of the screen, as the screen was wobbling on its foot (unstable).

Behind this back plate, I found a big nut, that secures the screen to the foot but also the contact of the lever to the foot.

Tightened the nut manualy, worked again perfectly.

Perhaps you can try this 5 minutes job.

I just set up a Beosound 5 for the first time. Installing the Beosound to the wall bracket or table stand puts stress on the cables. Re-inserting cables on both the Beosound and Beomaster resolved this problem for me.
