Hello,
recently my father passed away and left me with his expansive music collection as well as his old audio system. He knew all about those things, repairing vintage radios etc.
Now I've been trying to get his Beogram 2200 playing his records. I've set up the audio amplifier as good as I know how. But I can't for the life of me figure out why the Beogram isn't playing sound out of the speaker boxes. I connected a new retro record player to the audio system's PHONO connection and it's playing music just fine. If I connect the Beogram the same way I hear nothing but very faint static. When I press play on the Beogram the needlearm moves over to the record and I can listen faintly to the music coming off the needle. It's playing just fine but no audio out of the speaker boxes. It's very frustrating as I get this urge to ask my father but he's no longer with me.
Even thouh I have some electro knowledge (Motorcycle related however), I just don't know where to start looking for the culprit here.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
