Hello,

I restored a Beomaster 6500 and a MCP-5500

* On the Beomaster, I replace :

all the electrolityc capacitors + the 2 relays + the battery on the CPU board (it was out with 0,3V) + the bias adjusting pots

* on the MCP-5500, I replace :

all the electrolityc capacitors + one 47R SMD resistor + the 4,75V adjusting pot (R117)

Today, the Beomaster 6500 seems to work very well, but I have a problem with the MCP-5500 ;

I can drive the volume, the mute, select a CD, the Radio, a Tape,

but it's impossible to adjust the balance, the treble, the bass and to tune manually the tuner

Ex. : when I try to adjust the balance, I press the balance button and simultaneously I turn the button for adjusting ; the beomaster respond with the 00 display, but it don't adjust the balance and « no contact » appears on the MCP-5500 display.

I verify the IR beams ; they go out from the MCP-5500 and from the Beomaster 6500.

Note : At the first start of the Beomaster after restore, I had only the left channel, than I put the Beomaster 6500 in test mode and I erase the RAM and after, it works well with the 2 channels.

Have someone an idea, why some functions aren't working on my MCP-5500 ?

Thierry
