Hello all,

I have a quick question regarding disassembly of a Beocord 5000. I am starting to restore one and have followed the instructions from various members (thanks Soren and others). It has the usual "rubber belts turned to mush" problem. I would like to take the plastic take-up spindles off to clean them and replace rubber "tyres". My question is, do I just pop-off the conical spindle tops (looks like it should pop off at the point of the screwdriver tip in the picture)? It looks like that is the way, but I don't want to damage them if that is not the right way?

Many thanks

Yes, that's how.
