Beomaster 1200 2 pin din sockets

Hi there, 

Hoping I can get some advice on a problem I have. 

The Beomaster has those 2 pin din sockets at the back. On mine there are quite worn out and so the plugs actually wobble a little so the connection is quite dodgy. 

I have two possible solutions. 

1. Replace the sockets. But I cant seem to find any original parts for these, or even know what to look for. I have found an alternative but it would mean a little cosmetic surgery on the Beomaster. 

2. Replace the sockets for a more modern alternative. Like the attached image. Again a little cosmetic surgery but not as harshe as the previous alternative, and I would get a more stable connection?

but first is this even possible? Is it a straight swap or does it mean changing a few other things internally on the beomaster?

Would be great to get some opinions on this as I am not really sure what the best option is

Are these sockets for speakers or other input/output devices?

These are just for the speakers. Here is a picture. As you can see they are quite worn out.

I was thinking I could add something like this (in black) But it would mean as I mention a bit of cosmetic surgery. 

And not sure it will work if I change to a more modern alternative.

RCA jacks aren't really suitable for speakers.  Either replacement DIN or go for standard screw/banana plug terminals.  If you have trouble finding replacement DINs someone here should be able to source them.  I haven't actually looked for them here, but will next time I head down to the electronics district, probably next week.

AH ha ok, yeah I have seen those banana plugs. Ill give those a try. then. 

I guess at the end of the day its a cosmetic thing. Do I want it to look completely original? 

Ill keep looking.
