I have a 2002 BeoVision TV which I love and want to keep. I also want to use it to watch the internet. The problem is that the TV has a 21pin AV socket, not an HDMI socket or a skart socket so I need something to convert the HDMI signal from the laptop into a 21pin AV signal which I can plug into the TV. Does anyone know how I can connect it up ? I obtained an HDMI to skart converter thinking that the TV had a conventional skart socket but it obviously doesn't fit. Is there such a thing as skart to HDMI converter ? I haven't been able to find anything. All suggestions (not too technical) gratefully received. Many thanks, Andrew
Hi Andrew
Your question is a little bit confusing. A 21pin AV socket on a TV is a scart socket. Is this a European spec or US spec TV?
Is your HDMI to scart like this? Or similar?
If it is a European spec TV, it sounds like you need a scart cable
Stoobie
have you found something similar with RGB scart output to have good quality ?
I am still looking for a good quality solution
