LC2 plasma kit - only for IR noise?

Hi,

I have three LC2s which behaves oddly – they don't always react to IR commands. They have worked on and off and with varying sensitivity since I installed them - sometimes it changes from day to day. This autumn they have worked fine, but on one day before christmas they stopped working again. Sometimes they react to commands if I send the commands repeatedly, but not always. They work fine by touch (but they are installed in the ceiling, so not really an option...). I don't have a plasma TV, and they are situated in different rooms, so I guess it's noise in the electrical supply like in THIS thread.

So, my question is; would the "plasma kit" fix this problem, or does that only appropriate when there's IR noise?

Magnus that was an amazing post you found in the archives. Keith suggestions would be the way to go starting by trying them in an other location.
