I have a BV8-40 running the above software. Exiting the text service in link rooms is not easy and if there are any changes to this I would carry out the upgrade. In the main room exit from text is simply to press 'text' but in a link room it is exit>yellow which brings up the menu then red (radio) then exit>yellow>red to bring back TV. Can anyone report an easier way of doing this or recommend a later software version?
I had the exactly the same problem with Bv4 driven by the Beosystem3, the answer I found by accident was to rapidly press the exit button twice and the text in the link room turned off. Maybe that will work for your BV8

Thanks for that Ron but no luck with my setup. I would have thought there might be an 'official' fix for this by now.
