I wish I had read the advice from you experts before diving in to replace the adhesive tape behind the glass panel. I have managed to scratch some of the black-coating on the rear of the panel. Does anyone know what to use to recoat it? It seems to be some sort of B&O dark-art probably originating from a black-hole because the original coating ommits no light at all!
Hi
Yes you are right, reading before...;-))
It's not very difficult, just buy a can of Black matt / frosty spraycolour.
Mask the carbon area where the sensitive touch is with some cardboard and put something on the cardboard to keep it straight/ flat on the Glas.
Spray two or three times thin layers on the scratches and let it dry, have a look against Lightsource, still Light to see, repeat steps.
For me it worked like charm.
Best Regards
Chrischi
I find a small can of black Humbrol enamel and a small brush easier to control.

Thanks for the swift reply, I have two solutions and will try the one based on which paint arrives first - much appreciated.

Martin, just to let you know the Humbrol Enamel (black satin) has worked a treat! I can sleep easy again. Thank you.
