Beosystem 4 and 4k material

Hello to all,

I am thinking about getting a beosystem 4 second hand and in order to play 4k material on my projector use an Atlona upscaler more specifically the AT-HDVS-SC-RX

Has anyone used such a setup before?

 

I have a BS4 I dint use if you are interested.

I didn't get why do you need an upscaler. Can't you just connect the audio signal to the BS4 via coax spdif?

If I do so I will not be able to use the home control screen...

With my BeoSystem 4 I use a UHD player with dual HDMI outputs and an Apple TV with an HDFury HDMI splitter. You don't need the menu overlay at all for the Apple TV. For the UDH player, you really just need to remember how to access the disc menu and the main menu.

I really need the home control screen to be available for both tv and beamer cause I am using the BLI to control my door. My setup consists of a V1 an epson projector and an atlona 5x2 switch. All stbs are on the atlona and the spdif of the atlona goes to the spdif of V1. In simple words I am using the v1 to process audio and I choose which screen I want to use (v1 or beamer).

Beosystem 4 would be the ideal solution for me but it is not 4k and as far as I understand b&o are not interested in producing at least a beosound stage with proper surround capabilities!!!!!
