Hi all,
Hope you can help me with answer to this one:
I have a BV Avant 55, BLC and BeoSound 2 as music system. All speakers (BL 9 and BL3) are conected to the Avant. I would like to change BeoSound 2 to a BeoSound Core a music system, still with all speakers connected to the Avant. Will this work? And will the Avant power on when I select a source on the Core to play, in the same way as it does now when i play a scouce one the BeoSound 2?
Many thanks in advance for helping.
Regards, Ken

You could simply configure the Core without speakers and ‘connect’ it to the Avant (which Avant....by the way?).- add it in the menu of the Avant.
You could ‘integrate’ it, however then you will not be able to use Spotify (Connect), if that matters to you. This way the Avant would power on, but not from all sources!
Yet another way could be to use the PL-output (of the Core) in line mode and connect that to the Aux-in of the BC2 (if you want to keep it - and why not?).
This will allow you to use it in a ML-linkroom (if you have one!)
Drawback howwever, you will have to use the Bang &Olufsen app for controlling it.
All really comes down to how your entire setup is cinfiguret....you still want to keep the BLC?
Several ways to do this - depending on how much you want to change in the setup..

Hi MM,
Thanks for your reply and suggestions.
First, I do not plan to keep my BC2.
I have now tested a Core integrated with my Avant. Basicly it works, but I cannot use my OneRemote BT to operate the Core when it's integrated. Volume up/down etc. do not work. I have to use my OneRemote IR for my Avant. This is an issue as my plan was to use the Core as a music systemt with a Halo as remote. And by this replace my corrent BC2 with a Core + Halo, bt this would require that the core can be operated by a remote when it's integrated to the Aveant.
I know that best way forward would be to replace my Avent with a Eclipse or Harmoney, But I have limited physical space where my TV is and by moving to a 65" i do not have place for my BL9's with the TV, and I don't want to only have the TV speakers. Also Harmoney 65" is single tuner and this is step backwards from the Avent I do not want to take.

Thanks for clarifying.
When ‘integrated’ the Core becomes part of the Avant.....and you control (and also see that in the app) the Avant.
Maybe you simply should wait with the Halo.....as long as you have the nice Avant.
(There isn’t really much you can do with a Halo and a Core, anyway....but it is a nice device, I know).
Note: if you (would) change to the Eclipse/Garmony, you would not need the Core, since it’s functions are part of the SoundCenter.
Enjoy your setup as of now, it is a nice one.
How about just adding a Core (withoutt speakers) and ‘connect’ it to the Avant - or make the sources available through the BLC....in cas you choose to keep the BC2 - untill a bigger change in the setup is due!.
Many thanks for your reply.
Issue is thet I rellay want the Helo to take the place where my BC2 is right now. But I see that there is not so much I can do, until I change TV..
