Beocenter 9500 & Beolab 3000

Bonjour,

Je possède une Beocenter 9500 et je viens d’acquérir des Beolab 3000.

Et j'ai les câbles 8pin pour la connections.

J'ai le problème suivant je ne vois pas le retour des inscriptions sur les écrans des Beloab.

Et j'ai le 'point' rouge qui reste allumé.

D’après vous cela est un Beug ou un problème de connexion ?

Merci de vos infos et eventuellement position des switch arriére .

Sorry for replying in English. There is a sliding switch on the side of the speaker. Slide it to the AUDIO position.

But the buttons are of course on Audio at the Beolab 3000 level.
Do you have to double the Din cable (8 pins) with a normal speaker cable?
According to B&O Manuel the Beocenter 9500 and full compatible with Beolab 3000. The sound comes out normally but just the doubt of the display panel at the bottom of the speakers?

Apologies - my poor schoolboy French led me to understand from your post that the speakers were not coming out of standby: “Et j'ai le 'point' rouge qui reste allumé.”

If you can get sound in both speakers but no info in the display, and the switches on the back of the speaker are set to L and R respectively, then it sounds like the Powerlink cables are not fully wired or that one of the connections in the plugs are damaged. All Powerlink DIN cables of that era have 8-pin plugs, but don’t always have 8 wires in the cable.

You need to have the Powerlink cables where all 8 pins are wired from end to end, known as Powerlink Mk2.

You can check your cables yourself if you have a simple multimeter. Unplug the cables from the BC and BLs, and check for continuity by touching the corresponding pins at each end of the cable. If some of the pins show no continuity, then you need to get some new cables (or re-solder the connections within the plugs if all 8 wires are present).
