It's pretty hard to keep ignoring when it's constant and all over the place.

Can somebody please for f*£&'s sake just add a line of code to this forum that automatically deletes posts that contain the terms LAT and BMR? I am so sick of every single topic ending up talking about technologies that only WE is even vaguely interested in...PLEASE!!!!

Sorry to go off topic....

Beoworld was starting to get good again, now we're going back to hijacked threads and people getting angry again. It ruins Beoworld for everyone.

Just ignore them. Thats what I do.

Some forums I use have an ignore function. You can active ignore members post. They don´t even show up on your computer. I believe that would be useful in this case.

Telephone: BeoCom 5 for its speakerphone (but the telephone keyboard should get an improvement)

Maybe some other commentators in this thread should consider that there are individual ways of appreciation of the same matter ...

I'm guessing or assuming you only use the BeoCom 5 for the occasional call? We use them in our office and have had four models so far (two replacements) and each one loses the connection to the base, despite the base being only metres away, often resets mid call, with the caller hearing screeching noises and this can happen reasonably frequently. B&O have never solved the problem(s).

Sure, they look amazing, but if you use them frequently like we do, they are incredibly poorly implemented. We get those phone crashes/screeches at least once a week and twice when we've been on important international conference calls!

Yes I agree they look great and could be be regarded as B&O's best phones....if only they worked properly and consistently. I have BeoCom 2's at home and they never experience these issues.

I agree. Some phones in the BeoCom range need fixing. I just found out that B&O discontinued the BeoCom 4. It's one of my fav phones from B&O. Never gave me problems, practical and light. And Beocom 2500 and it's siblings are discontinued too? It's one of the first land phones I have ever used in my life.  And whatever happened to BeoCom3? I kinda like the whole put the phone in a cup concept maybe they should do something similar but cordless.

The BeoLab 5's, for their performance and design which is so unique it hasn't really aged in 10 years?

Absolutely! When I bought them in late 2006 they were my fifth speaker pair perhaps, I never regretted this particular investment for a second. They are B&O’s most consequent product. Besides them you only need a digital audio source, a not too small room with a stable floor and nothing else.

The BeoVision 11, as it's the product we all asked for - and got ?

Yes indeed. After having bought the BeoLab 5 I was looking at B&O’s other products but this was quite a hard time as none of their solutions seemed to integrate well with the constellation I used and still am using. When the BeoSound 5 came out I loved the scrolling wheel but did not understand why I had to move all my music away from the computer or use an apparatus with a crippled PC OS to control it. And while I always wanted to have a system looking like a BeoSound 9000 I never could imagine which five CD’s I should put in it and if they where sufficiently good looking in the end … So their television sets seemed to be a good choice, especially those that could be placed directly on the floor as nobody else offered such a solution. But the asking price for a BeoVision 5 was so extreme I never was able to justify buying it. Same was true for its successor BeoVision 9 – I also never was convinced that the heavy power consumption of plasma displays where the way to go. So when finally the BeoVision 10 arrived I was tempted but did not have the money anymore as we bought and renovated a three floor apartment. This situation recently changed again with the availability of the BeoVision 11 which seems to be a very interesting product. I still do not know how to integrate it in my life as everything we watch on television comes from a Mac Pro with EyeTV and several DVB-S receivers attached via an HDMI cable to our current TV set and a coaxial cable for transporting the sound to the BeoLab 5’s. But the BeoVision 11 design seems to tick nearly all the boxes for a television like I imagine it should be …

beolab 8000/2

It might not be the best sounding, but shows all what B&O should be about.

Amazing innovative design that still turns eyes to this day, it had ground breaking engineering, masterful alu workmanship etc.
Oh.. and it sounds not bad either. ..

Where would B&O be today if it hadn't produced this iconic speaker ?

I am trying to qualifying this question based on the technology/cost available to the product at that time:

BL5 speakers all the way- I wished I bought this instead of a car!

The avant 32: as the technology on CRT matured BO produced one of their best TVs. Elegant, beautiful picture quality (even using just the wretched DVD1)

BV11: especially the 55'' which is absolutely stunning picture quality.

I am grateful that I had the opportunity to own and appreciate the tvs (avant and BV1140).

I listen to far more music (both frequency and variety) since I picked up my BS5. I think that's a very good thing. The beo5/6 has changed my life: I don't remember the tv channel numbers anymore... I do lust after the bl9 and 5s... But I guess I'll wait for the bmr + lat bl800000s :) Stan
