Hi

I'm thinking about doing this in my apartment and have many questions, if you've done it please share your thoughts on it and your experience !

Some questions

- Will it alter the quality of the sound compared to a floor mount ?

- How is it with the bass that are really heavy, are there more vibrations ?

- How did you do to put the cable in the wall ?

Don't hesitate to share every details about your journey on doing that

Thanks

When I first bought my beolab 6000s and 8002 from the dealer, they were both wall mounted. I had no issues with vibrations etc. The sound was fine. However, I then moved and in my new place I switched to floor mounts with the speakers further away from the walls and I feel the sound is better with better clarity. Again, it might be the room dynamics vs. just the wall mounts. The BL6000 looked great on the wall.

B&O in my life 😊:

  • Beolab 8002 + Beolab 2 + Beosound Core with Essence Remote (Office)
  • Beolab 6000 + Beolab 11 + Beosound Core with Essence Remote (Bedroom)
  • Beoplay A9 Mk2 (Living Room)
  • Beosound 1 with wireless dock (Portable)
  • Beosound Balance (Dining)
  • Beoplay H95 (Focused listening, travel)
  • Beoplay H9 (3rd gen) (retired)
  • Beoplay P6 (Portable)
  • Beotime wall clock (hallway entrance)
  • BMW X5 50i with B&O Audio Package (Commute/drive)

I don’t think there is any difference in sound. I wall mounted my dining room 8000s and ran the cables in the wall with the first fix electrics of the house renovation.

I also wall mounted a BL11 sub near floor level, below one of the 8000s. All three are run by a Core situated in another room. An essence remote controlled the set prior to my Halo which now is the primary controller in the dining room.

8000s look terrific on wall mounts.
