Beoplay E8 1st gen Xmas gift

Hi everyone,

At work we’ve been asked to select our Xmas gift, and to my surprise Beoplay E8 1.0 is in the catalogue.

I know that these are meanwhile heavily discounted and can be picked up from ca 80 Euro’s on the www.

Is the E8 1st gen still a nice product to have in 2020? Some of the reviews are not so positive, but on the other hand, I have no intention of having them in/on during intercontinental flights or anything.

I always lived by ‘never say no to free B&O’ ... so I am leaning towards taking them although not having a use case directly. What would you do?

I used to have the E8 v1. I would highly advice against it because of connectivity issues and a poor microphone. The 2nd gen were much better, but my wife got the latest version from the B&O website and really likes them a lot.

I have ordered them nonetheless - fear of missing out, and maybe quite soon they will be joining my selection of B&O items i have but don’t use.

But I will give it try and let you all know what my verdict is
