This week my B&O H9 headphones broke down, they are completely non-responsible to reset etc... and now I am experiencing massive issues with my B&A A9 gen 2 speakers, after changing internet provider. I am seriously considering dropping B&O as a supplier all together as those quality issues are simply not accepted. I bought both of those devises in 2017, they are less than 3 years old (!!!). Brought brand new from a B&O store.

Perhaps someone here can help me with my A9 issue.

Device:

B&O A9 gen 2

Issue:

I am running the Bang & Olufsen app on my Iphone, and trying to set up the speaker over airplay. It worked in the past, but I had to re-do this as I am on a new WIFI connection (new internet provider). Other devices managed to connect to my new network just fine - such as TV, alarm system, Iphones, Ipads, printers, etc. But not B&O. What happens is that the app / speaker manages to setup the temporary WIFI connection to which I should connect my phone in the "airplay setup" screen, and the speaker also gives an accepting sound and gives a white light on the indicator. The app then gets stuck in the "waiting for speaker" mode and then it gives up after a few moments, and shows a message saying "unexpected error", and my only option is to press "close". The speaker does after this procedure NOT show up in the app, but I can access it in Spotify as an airplay speaker. That works fine. Then if I restart Spotify, it is gone from there again.

This is what I have already tried:

- Unplugging the speaker, and plugging it back in again

- Resetting the speaker using the factory reset button

- Restarting Spotify and the B&O app on my Iphone

- Reconnecting to my home network on the phone

- Naming the speaker differently in the airplay setup process

- Tried also with another Iphone... same issues

Anyone... please?

I would try different WiFi channels on your new ISP box. Some B&O products have issues with some channels.

BS Moment, BS Core, BG 4002, BC 4500, BS1, BL18, BL19, BL8000 + RCV1, A6, M5, M3, A1, P6 (tks Botty), H5, TR1
