Good evening,

I just got a vintage turntable and the arm is not working properly. When I press the start or turn buttons, the record starts to turn, the arm goes to edge of the record (LP), the needle touches the record, but after a few seconds and a click noise, the arm goes back to its initial place. and no sound comes out whatsoever, even if the amplifier is on, obviously.

I have touched the rear counterweight until the two zeros of the arm and the counterweight coincide.

What do you think could be happening? Please?

Thank you!
