Beomaster 1001 one channel… Weird!

Good evening alls,

Now my system is complete as and I dream it, the Beomaster as started to act weird:

The left volume slider as no effect on any channel, 
The right volume slider affects both channe volume at the same time. 

I can feel a slightly lower volume on the left speaker but it's not obvious.
If I listen through headphones I can hear only one channel (Left).

I will open the unit and have a closer look at components and I do have the (original) service manual.

But in the meantime I'd like to know where to start.
