I have connected a DVD1 to my beovision 10 in the AV2 with scart. Also tried AV4.

Everything works perfect. In the movie menu and starting the movie but when the movie is playing i cant pause, rewind or speed up with the beo4. Sometimes it works after i hit the buttons 100 times.

cant figure out what it is.

tried different frequenties in the beo4 option.. maby i did not use the right ones?..  i guess they all now stand on “frequentie 1” voor 2 IR’s.

setup:

Beovision 10, with beolab 6000, masterlink converter to beomaster 5500 and beogram 5500. And xbox one & apple tv 4 in hdmi. And now the DVD1 in in AV2 i also have the HDR1 but the quality is not good when i connect the dvd1 tough it.

im also looking for a new DVD2.. any tips?

I think only STOP and GO work in a straightforward manner.

Try pressing the BLUE button first to bring up the on-screen toolbar before you then use the arrow keys.

And if you want the top level DVD menu, try GO YELLOW

It's not the most user-friendly of interfaces!  And DVD2 is as bad, if not worse!

(And I don't understand your reference to 'different frequencies'.)

EDIT:  I just tried my DVD1 (connected to BC6) and the arrow buttons should work without pressing anything first!  Still worth checking the colour buttons to see what happens.  Is you Beo4 otherwise working fine - i.e do the arrow buttons etc work with other non-DVD functions?

Thanks for trying it out!

This blue and yellow buttons work. Only when i press the blue button you see that the disc may prohibited it

but i cant get to work pauze rewind, enz with the arrow button.
In every other menu and non dvd it works just fine.

I ment the frequenties you can choose for the IR. In the beo4. You have to press LIST en OFF. Then OPTION.. enz..

There is a mark I and Mark II DVD1 with different menus. I will check if I have the manuals.

What about GO LEFT or GO RIGHT

STOP should pause

STOP STOP should return to beginning

Do you have the Beo4 with navigation button (joystick) ?

I don't fully remember how that one works. But I do recall that you can switch (mode) and define if the joystick is the go button or not. If it's configured not to be the go button you have to press PLAY instead of GO.

Try e.g. PLAY LEFT and PLAY RIGHT

Max 1 second between the two key presses.

Savsted. Perfect!!

what your saying is just the way how it works.

GO, LEFT OR GO, RIGHT Is forward or rewind.

STOP is pauze.

GO is resume

thank you very much. This helpt a lot!

Good news - that implies it's a Mk2 DVD1 (i Just looked at the user manual online).  That's suppose to be the better one, identified by a Type Number of 4621-27.

Mine's a Mk1, which explains the difference.

Anyway, glad that all is working as it should be! Smile
