Hey Harry, feel your pain as going through exactly the same, yep, same thing, running cat cables to the BM5 then setting up a share to the BM5 hard drive.
It has been a journey, especially tracking down where to change the BM-USER password, but once all sorted it's easy copying music across.
But quick question, I see you are using WMA format, I take it you are getting all the tag data (Album and Artist) as I've had no luck with WAV lossless files. I'd already ripped all my music prior to WAV format which worked fine on two other media streaming devices, but WAV is proving difficult on the BM5 and not looking forward to having convert 8,000 odd tracks to another format.
