Connecting Beo6 to BM5

I have without success tried  to connect a second-hand Beo6 to my BM5. I can connect the remote to WIFI and both IP adresses appear in setup info on Beo6.

Unfortunately, the remote will not charge, so after a couple of hours the remote died and I`m returning it to my dealer.

Hopefully, it will be up and running again, but as my first experience with Beo6 was not the best and I want to prepare for when I get it back, I would like to know the following:

  1. It`s a second-hand remote and has been configured before. Can I connect and configure my BM5 and see covers and radio stations by only using the WIFI connection?
  2. I only have a Mac computer and as I understand it the configuration tool for Beo6 can only be used on a Windows machine. What is the minimum requirements of a Windows computer, whose only purpuse is to configure a Beo6?
