Hi,

New here, and filling the long winternights with restoring vintage B&O sets.

Recently restored:

Beomaster 1900
Beomaster 2400
Beomaster 5500
Beocord 1900 (in progress)
Beocord 2400 (in progress)

Beocenter 2200. This beast gives me some headaches.
The recordplayer spins way too fast, it looks like it's spinning at 78 instead of 33 or 45
I found some old topics hinting at a stretched belt, but this is not the case.
I think there's a problem in the electrical circuit but not sure what to do or what to test.

Anyone here who can give me a hint?

Hi all,

The problem is solved. The speed control is on a small print on the motor itself (in the schema a black box)
On this print resides a 10uF electrolytical capacitor which was dying.
After replacing this capacitor with a fresh one the speed is normal again.

For future reference i think this could be useful information.
