Hoping someone can help... I've recently bought a Beo6 remote and had it configured by the dealer but they have not set it up for two way comes with my BeoSound5. Can someone give me some detailed instructions on how to set this up because the dealer is clueless. Thanks in advance.

Just use a newer config tool version, CT 5.12 should work. If you "upgrade" from an earlier configuration, delete Beosound 5 in your configuration, save it and add it again with the new configuration.

Hope this helps

Thanks Stefan.

Any ideas where I can get the config tool from? Have searched but cannot get a download anywhere!

Can provide a Dropbox folder if that would help.

If you just want to do two-way communication with your BS5, I don't think you need the config tool.

1)  Go into SETUP mode (press button with red dot and middle button at the same time)

2)  Use the small arrow keys (surrounding middle button) to navigate to the "Wireless" menu and press the middle button

3)  At this point, it depends on how your wireless network is configured.  If it is configured like mine (Apple Airport Extreme), you navigate to the "Auto" menu, it will then display the wireless networks it can see.

4)  Select your wireless network from the list

5)  Enter your wifi password

6)  You should get a "Connection OK" message, and select OK

7)  I believe you must also navigate to the "Server IP" selection the "SETUP" menu, and enter the IP address of your BeoMaster5.

Now, when you press N.Music (the white one, not the red one), then you should get 3 small icons and an "Artists" and "Albums" selection.

Hi Stan,

Finally got around to trying this after messing around with the config tool and it worked! Just first had to unhide the white N.MUSIC button. Then followed your instructions and wham... It works!

Thanks so much!

Peter.
