Hi guys,

i am currently repairing an beosystem 2500.

the cd seems defective.

it doesn’t read cds, but not as often stated turning and then stopping..

it’s the opposite. The cd starts turning, but much to fast.

no music of course.

the cd system is a Cdm 4/38.

hard to find and if, then really expensive.

can I use another one , e.g cdm 4/19?

i could transplant the head.

or am I totally mistaken and the error sits somewhere else?

best regards

Check for correct voltages to the servo board according to the service manual, this is the first step. I had a BC9500 that did the same, there +9v/-9v was missing. Once the dead transistor was changed, all worked fine again.

Hi Weebyx,

thanx for the fast reply.

With Servo board, the PCB 8 (because there is the Servo IC)?
