Hello guys! I really hope to get some help or information here. Yesterday I put on a vinyl on my beocenter 2200, which is linked up with original speakers. The sound was weird like falls tones and then there was a loud sound coming from the speakers and then all sound disappeared. Now when I play the radio, tape or vinyl no sound is coming... did the internal amplifier break or is it the fuse go off? There is absolutely no sound coming from the speakers. I already checked if the speakers is having some trouble with the short circuit, but that’s connected properly.
what to do?
Jakob
First thing would be to check if the amplifiers get power at all.
Martin
Hi Martin,
thank you for your answer - how do I check if the amplifier gets power? The center can turn on and the turntable can spin - everything seems to work except for the sound
Check first that you have your 'speakers connected to SP1.SP2 is controlled by a switch at the front of the unit.
Also, there are fuses to protect the speakers. These fuses are located inside a small hatch in the bottom of the unit and may have blown?
You just undo a screw in the hatch and open it to reveal the fuses.Replace with the same value new ones if they have failed.
Otherwise,as Martin said, you will need to check supply voltages inside, but t's rare to find problems with the power supply or output amplifiers with these units.

Hi,
So i found out that the fuses had blown, two of them. It says T5A250V on the fuse. I bought some new ones which i thought was the same but they say F5AL250V - They blew right away. Do you now if that makes a difference or if i have a problem somewhere else on the beocenter? :)
The 5A fuses are for the main power supply to the amplifier's,the 'speaker fuses are the other ones, and rated at 2.5A.
There is obviously a serious failing in the power supply, which may be due to faulty rectifier, etc.
If you are not confident working with electronics,it would be best to entrust any further work to someone who is.
