Hi,

I need a help about the tape section of my Beocenter 9500.

The problem is:

after changed the 3 belts (before of this the tape was completely blocked)), the tape now starts but it only play for few second. Belts seem fitted well ....

I posted a You Tube video to show the problem.

May someone kindly help me?

Regards, Ivan

Hi Ivan

Look for the hall sensor aside of the  tape spools where the small belt goes round. The spools are magnetic and the hall sensor picks up the pulses.

Look for the gap between magnetic ring and hall sensor, should be   about 1-2 mm. Maybe the PCB with the sensor is not proper screwed back in place.

Had already had 3 defective sensors.

Kind regards Christian

Hi friend, RESOLVED!!!

You was right...the problem was about the sensor on the little pcb near the smallest belt.

It was upside down !!!! Maybe during the  unmounting / mounting to fit the new belt.

So, now it plays again, also ffw and rw work well.

Christian I thank you so much for your help, and if you plan to come in Italy (Milano) after COVID -19 feel free to contact me...CIAO

Hi Christian ... just a question..after your help now the tape it’s working but  i noticed that the turn function doesn’t work . When I press the turn button , tape engages the other side but after few second it return to original side. So the auto-reverse function doesn’t works.  Suggest me further control to resolve this matter.
Thanks.. Ivano

ps: this is not a main problem but if I’ll can resolve it i’ill be happy

Ciao

Hi Ivan

Sorry for the delay, but there was a lot of work the last few days---

What  came into my mind last night was that there is another  Hall Sensor on the PCB which is mounted below the tapedeck.

Have a look for the wheel beneath the Hall Sensor, there is a ferrite / magnetic ring that inducts the pulses into the Sensor.

You have to desolder the two coils than you can easily lift the PCB and renew the hall sensor if necessary.

Hall Sensor

The hall sensor should stand upright to pick up the pulses like the other sensor.

I´m not quiet shur that this causes the problem but a sneak view inside could not be wrong, maybe the sensor is misaligned or one of the wires did come of the PCB while mounting and handling the tapedeck.

There is a small latch that holds the PCB it should snapped into the hole of the PCB.

Let us know if you got some progress.

Kind regards

Christian
