I have a Beosound 1 and purchased a Beo4 remote for it secondhand. The remote does not appear to have a List button. From what I can tell it was used with a TV. How can I get it to work with my Beosound? I have downloaded the instructions but they all say you must use the List button. It has another name on the location of where the List button appears. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Welcome to the nice world of Bang & Olufsen.

There are multiple variants of the Beo 4 remote. List button on many models is down left under the red navigation button.

Please have a look at this thread to identify which one you have, maybe that helps:

Also.. Which BeoSound 1... The thermos (current!) shaped or the rectangle shaped (year 2000 era)? If you have the current version then you will not be able to controle it with the Beo4. Current BeoSound 1 is bluetooth/wifi only; former BeoSound 1 is fully compatible with the Beo4. Radio/CD/volume should do it out of the box.

If there's no LIST button then it sounds like a Hotel version, which will have reduced functionality (so as not to confuse guests that are unfamiliar with B&O).  You may find that you need to find one of the normal Beo4s.  All these have LIST:

Yes it is the 2000 model so it should work once I can get it sorted out!

So if it is the Hotel model surely there is a way to reconfigure it so it can be used. There is a blank button in the middle of the of the options section at the top.

Unfortunately not, as far as I know.  I would look for a new BL1000 or Beo4 remote
