Hey All,

I had infrequently listened to a few different types of B&O systems over the last 25+ years and had always coveted one. Recently I grabbed the opportunity to snag a pair of mint condition Beolab-5000's along with a Beomaster-7000 and love what I'm hearing. Hoping that the collective expertise and experience will help guide me further:

1. It appears that the Beolink 1000 remote is not able to control the Beomaster-7000 adequately. Which is the best matched remote for the Beomaster-7000?

2. Does the sound de-grade if run over longer (15 ft, 25 ft) cables?

Thank you,

1. BeoLink 7000

2. B&O suggested that there would be no discernible deterioration in sound over multiple pairs of speakers up to 100m if I recall correctly. I suggest that you ask Steve of SoundsHeavenly for the most suitable Powerlink cables for your needs.

I’ll also offer this: the BeoLab 5000s sound their best when the tweeters are at ear level in your favourite listening position. Mounting them too high noticeably alters their balance.
