Good evening,

I've recently been lucky enough to get into a position where I could finally start getting some vintage Bang&Olufsen gear into my life (if it's worth getting something - it's worth getting something beautiful), via various means. I'm happy to say most of the things I got just need some love, though they've got here in various stages of "untested" and "not working".

One of these is a Beogram 1902, which I've found has a dead channel. I've diagnosed it down to wiring in the tonearm.

What I'd like to ask - is it possible to repair the wiring, or replace the tonearm as a whole part?

Or should I just write it off and see what I can recover from the rest (looks like I can recover basically the whole cost just from the MMC4000 cartridge...)?

I'd really prefer to put it together, but maybe some battles are just lost.

You can take off the cartridge socket and inspect.
Its held by a small screw at the underside of the tonearm.

Thanks. I've managed to unscrew the bottom and disconnect the chassis ground (?) connection

The bit with the upper connections seems to be well stuck in there. I'll see if I can get it out without breaking the plastic.

If it's glued in, you may have to stick it into warm (boiling water) for a moment to losen the glue, but I don't think it is glued in this model.
