Hi everyone.

Quick question please. is the MCL2P amp ok to use with a Beosound 3000 to drive passive speakers or do I need anything else with it? Whole system will be in the same room, so no extra speakers etc being driven in another room. Do I need an extra ir receiver or just a power link cable? (Sorry that's more than 1 question..)

Thought I would ask you knowledgeable people before parting with my hard earned cash.

Thanks.

Graeme.

Just the mcl2p with a mk2 fully wired powerlink cable. Turns on with the beosound. I used this for some time.

Hi Graeme,

If you use the beosound and the speakers in the same room, you just need a powerlink cable, but beware, the powerlink must be a MK2.

You can order one to Steve from soundsheavenly, you won't have any surprise.I met someone who ask for a MK2 to his local b&o dealer and the cable didn't work at all.

Best regards

oLivier

You may find that the 'mute' function doesn't work - it doesn't for my son's BC2300 in a similar set up.  I raised a thread about it a while back and apparently there is no internal muting in the MCL2P:  http://archivedarchivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/t/35573.aspx
