Hi Guys/ladies,

Does any one has BeoSound Stage with any other TV other than LG? If so, how does it performs? Interested in it, but not fun of LG TV’s! Please, Share your thoughts!

I assume the performance of Stage would be the same regardless make of TV. The benefit with the newer LG TV is that you can use a Beoremote One.

yes as mention, LG tv benefits are only you can control the TV with Beoremote. i have just resently bought the Stage i have mixed feelings, ofcause all the online reviews are biased.

Sound quality are okayish, but the Dolby atmos effect are in my conditions very poor, i wish that B&O will make it possible to add 2 rear speaker like other brand does for their soundbars like Sonos, Bluesound, so the soundbar are "upgradeable". this will also make sense for B&O to sell more speaker like Emerge, Level or Balance, but only time will if B&O will sell "surround sound" to us mortal people :)

I borrowed Stage to try out in my “movie room”.

With a quite low ceiling and a quite narrow room the Atmos effect was really good. But as you experienced, not working in all rooms.

Hi Hiort,

Thanks for the quick feedback! Does it matter if it’s not LG C9? Just got mine, but more interested in Sony Z9J,but since, B&O is only referring C9, I’m kind of skeptical! It Really looks Good in seeing it in Person though!

Hi Lynda,

I just tried mine, like I said, it looks Good but the Sound wise, it’s not that Great! What I just figured out, I’ve BeoSystem 4 with my main BeoLabs connected to, and I can add it to Stage thru Multiroom, which is very Cool to get more Surround Sound! Quality wise, they looks Great more than anything else I’ve seen so far!

My dealer told me in January (2021) that a NG Stage is the pipeline. No idea when, but sadly the current Stage won't be upgradable (no ports to connect the speakers, for one thing). He also thought the current Stage would remain in the catalogue and the new Stage which would connect to external speakers would be more expensive.

The Stage is fantastic, but is limited by its size and format. For TV audio, it's superb, but for movie 'surround' sound, it sounds very centrally focussed!

It would make sense to allow the Stage to connect to external speakers as it would allow B&O to shift more speakers to Contour and other customers.

You can also use GX/G1 and CX and C1,

I would choose the LG G1 any day, over everything else.

Beovision Harmony 77" 2nd Gen, Beolab 5, Beolab 17, Beosound 1, Beoplay M3, Beoplay Portal, Beoplay Earset, Beoliving Intelligence

Wow Moxxey! Good to hear that! But looking at Harmony, it’s very Mind beating of Selecting any other TV though? I mean, what other TV will give you a Center Chanel like Harmony? I just got the stage but, my Heart is still in the Harmony! Wife telling to put in the Bedroom! May I should listen to her and end up with the Harmony! Confused Buyer!😂😅

Hi,

my Stage first plays with Samsung 40‘‘

My old Beo 4 Remote modded self by Linvis Chip for Samsung IR.

Turns on off via Sound Signal HDMI out from TV.

Only normal Stereo / Dolby.

Now with my new LG C9 and B&O-App on the LG out of the LG App Store,

it translates the Signals by Bluetooth paired BeoRemote One for the LG.

Very smart. Top.

Sound Atmos i can not hear so much differece, but very comfortable.

Great combination in my opinion. Smile

Beosystem 4 , Beoremote One, Samsung LED 65 Zoll, ATV4 PUC, BL 8000 Frontspeaker, Center BL 7.1, BeoPlay S8 black Rear Wandhalterung, Beosound Essence MK2 mit IR an Beolink passiv an Bose 161 weiß, Beomaster 3000 mit Beocord 3000 an BeoVox CX50 weiß, BeoCom 1401 mit IR Control, BeoCom 2000 weiß, Beoplay M5, Ex-Beosound Ouverture RDS, Ex-BV 10-40 MK3 mit Beo4 DTV an Dreambox 500V2, Ex - Beoplay V1-40 weiß , Ex-BV 8-26 mit Beo4 DTV an Technisat Digit S2e PUC, ex BeoSound 3, Ex-Beolit 12 Darkgrey, ex B&O A8 Earphones

I have a Stage connected to a Sony panel and use Apple TV. I currently use the Siri Remote for everything. I was thinking of getting the BeoRemote One BT based on this video by Heinrich https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2GoYs476so&t=294s but since I don't speak the language, I'm hesitant to purchase. All I want to do is control my Apple TV via CEC. Can someone confirm that this is possible without having to buy a LG Panel and connect it to the stage via Ethernet?

Hi Michael,

That’s what I was planning to do, get the New Sony Z9J to go with the Stage, I’m currently using it with my old Sony TV which still works fine, I heard, the LG’s will be much Better! My Old Sony TV doesn’t have Bluetooth but since, it’s connected to BeoSystem 4, I can still turned the tv off and On with BeoRemote 1 BT, and it’s easy to use on Apple TV as well!
